Dana Smith

Since joining Wellspring staff in early 2017 as Women’s Equipping Coordinator, Dana works to empower Wellspring participants to grow in their ability to lead others from their whole hearts through our Coaching track. She serves as a leader for our Battle for Women’s Hearts retreats, trains men and women to speak at Battle events and partners with Larry to oversee our Marriage Track. Dana has a degree in Psychology with a minor in Counseling and Guidance from the University of Montevallo. She also has an MA in Pastoral Counseling from Regent University.

Dana says, “Wellspring has impacted me profoundly as I have learned who God made me to be and have silenced lifelong lies. This has transformed me from a people-pleasing fixer, bound by fear and control, into an empowered woman who can find peace amid challenging circumstances while inviting others into life and rest.”

Married to Greg since 1990, they have three amazing adult children – two daughters and one son – and three adorable grandsons. Their journey through miscarriage, infertility, adoption, and raising kids from hard places has provided many opportunities to know God in intimately deeper ways. Lolly and Pop often have a full house as this current season of life includes raising one grandson and caring for the other two while mom works long shifts as a nurse. Outside of work Dana is a mixed media painter, crocheter, and sings with her church choir and praise team. She loves to laugh and play with friends and family.
