Made to Believe
If only believing God’s word was as simple as saying, “I believe!”
However, our visceral, gut-level beliefs are formed, in part and oftentimes sub-consciously, by our life’s experiences. Rejection, failures, being let down by others – all of these situations shape our views of ourselves, God, and others.
Becoming a Christian and adopting a Biblical worldview doesn’t automatically erase the messages we have internalized and continue to act from under pressure.
Objectives For this Course
Identify underlying beliefs and consider the impact they have on the choices you make
See the connection between life experiences and visceral beliefs
Consider how the enemy hunts by attacking and distorting our beliefs
Identify the disconnect between rational and visceral beliefs
Understand how awareness of the Larger Story helps bridge the disconnect
Discover how to find God’s heart in the disconnect
Experience truth at all 4 levels of the heart
The 2 Components of this Experience
-
Daily Reflections
– To Do Individually –

Spirit guided reflections to solidify the concepts in your experience
-
Weekly Team Meeting
– To Do As A Team –
Meet as a group to review and go deeper into what you are learning throughout the week in the scripture, in life, and your understanding of your beliefs
Experience Testimonial
“I was led down a path that challenged what I believed at a gut level about God, and the Lord used it to rewrite the narrative in my heart about what God’s goodness and protection really is.
This has been incredibly life changing, and has driven me to really asking the Lord to show me other ways in which I am missing who He really is.
I would encourage any past Battle participant to dive into the Belief Systems Module and see how God may use it to reveal any ways in which you may not see who He really is or who you really are. It just might change your life as it did mine.”
