Laura Stechmesser
As the newest member to the board, Laura is grateful and excited to be a part of Wellspring Group's continued ministry growth and future. Since going through the battle process in 2015, she and her husband Paul have felt a strong connection to the mission and purpose of Wellspring. Laura's experience included a small group follow through with 5 women who she is still deeply connected with 8 years later. Laura says "It is a privilege to connect my love of the ministry with my desire to play a larger role in Wellspring's story. As a wife, mom, and small business owner, I have seen the impact on my life and the lives of others as I seek to stay connected to God's heart and my own."
A graduate of Clemson University, Laura spent 17 years in global logistics and supply chain sharpening her leadership, relational and operations skills before making a leap of faith into owning her own business. A desire to spend more time with her family in a flexible environment was the driving force behind the change. Over her 20+ year career, Laura has built strong sales and operations teams, as well as developed successful processes for sustained growth. She currently serves as a multi-unit franchise owner of a national brand of educational child care.
Laura and her husband Paul live in Atlanta with their 3 children. She loves spending time with her family, traveling, and playing tennis.
